Dr. Monique Nugent is an accomplished hospitalist, physician leader, and advocate for equitable healthcare. Practicing at a leading independent health system in the Boston suburbs, she brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her work. Dr. Nugent earned her medical degree and completed her residency in internal medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She further honed her expertise by obtaining a Master’s in Public Health during her fellowship in the Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University.

With a career that seamlessly blends clinical practice, leadership, and advocacy, Dr. Nugent is dedicated to ensuring healthcare is safe, high-quality, and accessible for all. Her passion for improving the healthcare system drives her to advocate for every patient, striving to create a more equitable and effective experience for all.

Beyond the hospital walls, Dr. Nugent enjoys exploring New England, collecting cookbooks, and traveling with her family. She especially loves visiting art museums, often with her three children and supportive husband. She aims to empower others with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their healthcare journey through her work and writing.
